Meeting Notes
March 19, 2017 - Old Mattress Factory, Omaha, NE.

Members in attendance:

Meeting was called to order by president, Greg Hansen around 1:38PM

Treasurer's Report:
Report was given by Connie Johnson: Beginning balance was $6,716. WOW exhausted $0, took in $473 with ending balance of $7389.89. Membership dues are past due and a few have not paid.

Secretary's Report:
No Secretary present, so no report given.

Flashbacks is gone. Omaha Gun Club wanted to take over spot for cruise night but is not because they didn’t buy the lot.

Greg covered the upcoming shows and has entry forms for many, Too many to list, see club calendar or Car Council Book.

Connie gave a report on swap meet in Lincoln. Connie relayed a “Thank You “ for the Lincoln Swap Meet. $62,400 was taken in. Expenses were $26,000. And each club is to receive $390. for each share and we have 2 shares coming = $700. Connie stated that we need to continue to participate in the Swap Meet to raise club funds. This event pays for our insurance, could go to a charity, and could also be used for scholarships if we decided to offer any.

Mike Tesar talked about club website and the google calendar and club calendar. Mike also presented an idea for a small plaque with a spark plug mounted on it in place of or in addition to dash plaques. No Interest was shown. Rick suggested we make them and sell during the Regional show to profit a selected Charity, No real interest shown.

During WOW Neon signs were offer at a special price and if four purchased then you receive a free clock. Four club members purchased and there will be a clock for regional show raffle. There was talk of purchasing another clock for raffle but it was shot down.

Greg’s Go Jack broke while setting up WOW, Greg purchased another from Harbor Freight and Club voted to pay for it.

Our 15 th car for WOW was a no show and Jay Johnson brought his down to avoid a Mustang being placed in our group. Club paid for it out of the WOW funds.

Connie is donating a Quilt, Greg is donating a large frame car print he obtained and a set of Chevelle magazines.

Some flyers are being distributed by vendors and club contacts.
American National Insurance is planning to have a booth at our Regional Show, and is offering better classic rates.

Shriners are making plea for participants for this years show. Many benefits to public were discussed.

Club meetings:
APRIL 23 RD . at Omaha Gun Club 2828 82 nd Ave. 1:00 pm Start. After open to gun users to shoot discounted to $11 an hour. OGC is donating a few memeberships to our regional show raffles.
May 21 st at Mahoney Park
June 17 th at Bob Von Kaenel’s Lincoln NE. (Birthday party)
Aug ? Shriners show.
Sept our show
Nothing for October or November… looking for suggestions.
Discussed visiting Muscle Car builder in Lincoln.
Discussed having club visit Drive In movie is Bellevue and they are considering donating to our regional show.

Discussed WOW tear Down procedures
Greg offered up that we have 155 members in our Face Book following.
Next club meeting May 21st at Mahoney State Park, annual cook out.
