Vice President's Report:

  • Jay reported on the up coming H&H “All Chevy Show” being held on July 21st. The meeting was held on May 16th to go over any wants and concerns by club affiliates. It was brought up that there was still confusion as to where event participants were to park. This year they are going to park non club members North of the parking lot entrance by the used car building. This should curtail non-club participants from parking in club designated areas. It is requested by Teri (event spokes person), that she would like a head count of all club members attending the event prior to Thursday the 18th of July. H&H is not taking applications after the 18th of July. There will be another meeting two weeks prior to the Show to tie up loose ends. There is also going to be, for the first time, a fishing tank for the kids, located by the concessions. There will be prizes for the kids to win.

  • The next club meeting June 15th is at Bob and Cathy Von Kaenel’s in Lincoln. This is a real nice meeting to attend as it is also Bob n Cathy’s birthday celebrations. Fun stuff there. They go through a lot of efforts to make this a real nice party. You will enjoy. Please bring your Chevelles. Lot’s of parking available. Directions are posted on the club web site.

  • Flyers for up coming Show n Shines handed out for anyone wishing to participate.

  • The ZOOm event at the Henry Doorley Zoo on June 15th and 16th. A head count is needed from anyone wishing to attend the event. Please contact Rachell McCain (rachell.mcclain@omahazoo.com) or 402-738-2007 if you are wishing to attend or have questions.

  • Yutan Father’s Day Car Show is being held on Sunday June 16th. Event is being held by the Star Dusters Club. Registration is from 9:00 am to Noon at the Town Center. Cost is $15.00 per entrant. There will be Three Trophies awarded per Class. Questions, please call Chuck Policky 402-669-1498.

  • Olde Towne Cruiserfest, July 8th in Bellevue from 10 am to 4 pm. Will take place from Franklin St. between Mission Ave. and 21st St. follow directions, I am sure. There is no participation fee. Should be fun.

  • The Fremont “Cruisers on Main Street” Show n Shine is coming up on July 13th. This is a club participation event and HCC could come away with some cash for the most members in attendance. HCC managed to collect some cash from this event in the past and it would really be nice to collect the big money this year. But it takes a lot of club members to be there. Be there or be square.

  • The annual Mid-America Chevelle Regional Show will be held at the Westglen Shopping Center in Shawnee, Kansas on September 27th and 28th. The event will be moving from Olathe, KS to The Westglen Shopping Center, 16501 Midland Drive in Shawnee KS. The only hotel in the area is The Hampton Inn at 16555 Midland Drive. Their phone number is 1-913-248-1900. Get you hotel reservations made as soon as possible. Again this is a club participation event and HCC has managed to bring home the cash in the last couple of years for club participation. Fun event and lot’s of cool Chevelle’s to drool over.

No further business and the first Un- Official Club meeting was adjourned.
